This post raises the question.. Is there is anything that the responsible Shar Pei community members can do to protect their beloved breed from people who seek to endanger the heath and integrity of the breed by their irresponsibilty?
I have no doubt that 'breeders' like this would give no thought to the breeding and selling process, which can not only be a danger in a health sense, but also because I doubt they'd use much care in the placement and future of these pups.
Aparently the breeder in question is not a member of any controlling body.
Is there anything can be done to give breeders of this 'calibre' a clear message that we love and seek to protect our breed, and won't stand for irresponsible behavior that will endanger it's future?
