My neighbour has a Shar-pei, which, on opening her front door has to be held back with force as it openly displays an eagerness to attack who ever stands there. However, once invited in to the house, the dog quickly becomes a dopey cutie that just wants love and cuddles. Shes very boisterous around the children, and just lately she has been leaving the confines of the garden and wont let people pass - very disturbing. Yesterday, she bit my son on the leg - in the street without supervision, and Im wondering if this is normal behaviour, and if anyone can tell me if these dogs are not good pets - or are agressive by nature. It is worrying me as I do not want anyone else attacked by her, and feel in danger about stepping into the street outside my house.
