I have no idea why you would be told that the Sharpei stink as a breed. I have 4 beautiful animals and not one of them stink. I know many Sharpei owners and none of their animals have an odour. The only reason I could think of that your dogs have a smell and the dogs at the show did also, is because they are not being feed the correct diet. It is very simple: chicken based foods, NO PRESERVATIVES OR UNNATURAL ADDITIVES, BROWN Rice (has less starch), fresh vegetables, yoghurt and cheese. I also give them tuna in oil.I add Linseed Meal to my "babies" cooked chicken, rice and vegetables (carrots, broccoli, pumpkin). The dry food you give your dog is also very important, check what is in the one you use. Best feed should be yeast, wheat and gluten free. Hope this helps.....
