As stuborn as I am, I did not follow my own advice to slow down a bit delaying the end of chapter 19. I read both chapters this late morning and noon right after I got back from my oral exam Religion (which I did very well, for the record). The voight I expected has not come. Somehow, knowing that there will be a 20th chapter is being a support for me.

I somehow feel a bit cheered up that my precense has been acknowledged and that I finally made contact with you. It means quite a bit to me to 'meet' the writer of these magnificent stories.
To other writers, their stories are mere events they encouter in their lives. They write it down and move on to the next story. Somehow I feel that the stories about Brian and Pete have become more than just that to you. And that makes that you have become more than just 'a writer' to us.
When hearing your name, the first thing that comes up in the reader's mind will be Brian and Pete. When they hear the story's title, the first thing that comes up in the reader's mind will be your name. The choise you made 3 years ago, to write this story about them, has changed your life... and many, many other people's lifes. I can only encourage you writing more about Brian and Pete. And I can only hope you will keep on writing about them.

To be back on the original subject, how much this story touched me. I'd like to share the following, which I'm about to say, with you all.

Last night, after telling myself to quit reading and go to bed, I couldn't help but read the very first chapter of "For the love of Pete" again. I've been strucked by feeling which rarely leaves my mind: "so much has happened in so little time". In the story, 4 years have passed. But for me, it only took 5 days. When I read Pete's coming out to Brian, numerous thoughts of characters and events in the whole story came to mind and I felt miserable. I started to cry softly while thinking of Danny, the events that occured at Pete's house (with Joe) and Brian and Pete being seperated. Since last night, I can't help but feel a bit miserable. Even now, countless thoughts jump to mind about the story and what has occured. Even details, descriptions of rooms. And all I can think about "so much has happened in so little time". This shows how heart-touching this story really is. I've had to listen to hard music or songs I like to keep my mind off things. Dispite that, for me it's the best story I've EVER read...

Thank you Dwayne, for this wonderful story. Please, keep on writing about Brian and Pete because I'd love to read more much, much more about them.

Greets and sincere respect
Maarten
