Subject: Life's Fine Wine

Dear ALL...*smile*...esp. Rafael, Here's one
of my recent poems and an older poem which
somewhat explains the second to last verse of
the first poem ' Life's Fine Wine '. Pray you enjoy?
SuS....

Life's Fine Wine

We humans, think I
should learn to have some more sung.
Even if things, are not rosy pink.
This is not meant as silver-tongue pun.

When we were young,
all we wanted to be..
was to be older,
perceiving great fun.
Now it's almost all younger pew.

Many people, from almost life's end
to glorious start of birth,
and I .. wonder who's age will spin
if might we, start to worship youth.
More self age~ing, when it is hate & mirth.

Then sometimes the old envy the young
or just love, with smiles by the pound.
Yet the Clan of Nothingness & ALL has found
spiritual vibrations, singing the Light sound.

Because of those mistakes of mine,
have learned .. to sip life's fine wine.
Have a bottle for you & thine,
be it above, or here to shine.

A child of rock 'n' roll a tad narrow,
so forth of me and perhaps thee.
Get I .. to smile every day except, maybe three
days or thousands of years of mystic seas.
Despite known or not, injurious slings & arrows.

Perhaps a poem could be,
a map to the road or a pond.
Rocking, bucking "heart-attack & vine",
a rolling song so fine.
DJ of the "Bayonne Butch", Vin & FUV
transmits sparkling on..
into a Saturday's blues light night.

Or John Lee Hooker with radiance
boogies musical woogies .. chords of luminance
into the median wind of our lives.
Showing dark can hold the light,
holding keys to open and free
our very own plights...

~ Last NEW Show ~
[for Vin Scelsa]

From bottom of m'heart to the very tip top,
thank you I, for all of these, fine radio years.
You've eased my fears or tears.
with music anywhere from Sintra, classical & pop.
Rock 'n' Roll, blues, reggae, "your the tops"!
Here, there with first and foremost, W N E W ~ fm.
A sprint on K C R; far away from your days of F M U.
My big grins in '95{?} of a last night's marathon bash,
when you & "Jones" joined KCR with station above,
via shared, finger snapping, radio on the phone, broadcast.

Days once, when there was more musical freedom
during the weekday nights of you and Tommy M.
Laughed so many times with your true humor.
Once and while in the early to late seventies,
we spoke off-air, have a sorta shy of a, Alison S. voice,
rather doubt you would remember.

You comforted when
"our Captain" Munson's plane went down.
Listened when John was killed in front of Yoko,
with tears for him, her and love of NYC soul sound.
Deep blues for any senseless murder mojo.

Must least give blessings, at least 'the last show' is
2001.
Have so enjoyed listening to the 'living room' shows.
Your heart so big and one radio tower is only one brush.
Want a world-wide network, painting your colours.

With a Mona Lisa smile,
remember you and "Uncle Floyd"
in 'Kissing Booth' at a eighties Hoboken street fair.
Shared a magical, innocent kiss
which made us both say wow.
As me and my great friend Wright left,
saw the soul beautiful, your wife of Lady Freddie
pushing your shared newborn baby carriage,
Kate looked right at me, I'll swear
with stars in her eyes.

Said a silent Deist prayer for you and family
of health, wisdom and blessings, equaling happiness.
For this prayer unknown, you've repaid me endless times.
Give thanks you all be well, with soulful~ness.
Here's some, of a 'are you sure', "free verse"
to celebrate the of shows,'past, present and future',
Now the last N E W show, have my fingers crossed fully,
for where next you appear, but on Saturday nights?
Smiling ironically to myself, nights I want out.
No money for sophisticated recording electronic equip.
Will listen as can, this "Jersey Girl" quite bright.
Know the call letters WFUV.org, from hint of new radio show spout.
Your on air hints led me to find WFMU, back in seventy eight.

So much to speak of the 'Over The Rainbow' years
being part of intimate yet huge radio family.
Have my little somewhat Toto dog, so very dear.
Magical blacks & tiger Cat[s] & 'Czar Li~Zard' homilies.
Loved friends, my extended family so near.
Shows from over all the years, you have spun,
is part of my personal drink from fountain of youth.
Specials as musical words from Bottom Line's mouth,
including airwaves of Christmas Day 2000, melodic sweet fun.

Jimmy D. sings "I'll Be Seeing You" so fine.
Vin, you I value as a treasured bottle of wine,
that never empties when drinking say I, not in fun.
Losing another Camelot deeply saddens my mind.

Yet still, new hope on the Internet
even with a 586 "flintstone'putor".
I pray-predict the writing net of Poets will arise
with Songwriters casting,
golden evolved mind, fishing nets.
For one & all with delightful fish 'Sole' smarts.
You be back on February 'soon come' blessing us all.

Wait patiently for the invite to that huge musical party
of which you spoke, same year Thurman M. died
The radio season that touched me deeply
although parts are like "Yesterday", was that 77?
Remember when you and Tommy M.,
shared with us listeners, a slice of marathon radio pie?
Again 'thanks for the memories'; then, now and future.
Faith have I, the "yellow brick road"
will still take .. the royal ' us' to Oz.
