An Attempt




Slither of glass, skin pulled taut
with days decay a final thought
another note, or hopeless plea!
while life grows short
how distant can we be.
Amazed before an audience
while the make up lasts,
corseted hopes, tied to appear
on demand to support credibility.
The tears of life,
can have those days
of somewhere in-between.
And how do we weep?
if no-one is there!
reality wins,
an, overwhelmed despair.
Could consider it all,
for what might be suppressed,
as limbs ache more,
and time becomes far less.
