Re Map

Some time to think,
sort, re map.
Take the little ones
with me to stare into the sea.
Chilled air in my hair,
back to the wind, face the ocean.
Sip hot coffee; fresh ground
like these feelings, faltered
and sliced.
Gather thoughts, emote only
what you have to.
Keep close the exit door,
it's looking like a fire
could spark any moment.
And I have always fought
fire with water.
Cool these embers,
it's funny how fast
indifference comes
anymore.
A trait we learn
by rote, age and breaks.
Exposing for the world
this torn sleeve,
I've never been one
to hide.
A simple need to bleed
and nothing more.
