Oh, gosh, I hated Atlas Shrugged. Just read it over the summer. It about killed me. I hated everyone in that book to varying degrees. My mom loves it, as does my brother, so we had some interesting conversations. But now I've read it, and I can cross it off my list of Books I Have Never Read Because I Was A Jack English Major. Hooray!

In recommendation news, my sister got me a book called The Raw Shark Texts for Christmas. It just sounded kind of cool and was on Amazon's top sellers, so she just bought it. I read it in two days. It was cool. Kind of science fictiony, but not overly, and it's got a love story and some ideas about memory and stuff. It was...it was just cool. It's hard to explain what it's about without giving stuff away that is really fun to discover when you're reading it.

Also, I received a copy of Becoming Jane Austen. I'm about halfway through it. I like it. I probably won't see the movie (based on what you guys said), but the biography's pretty interesting!
