I have mixed feelings that President Hinckley has died. Part of me is really sad. He was kind of my prophet, if you know what I mean. He's been the prophet since I was fourteen or fifteen years old, which is about the time I really started paying attention to conference and all that kind of stuff. His leadership led me through some huge milestones in my life. Although I never met him personally, I had the privilege of being in his presence multiple times. Though I never shook his hand, though he did not know my name, I can honestly say that I knew him and I loved him, and I will sorely miss him---his knowledge, his wisdom, his sense of humor, and his testimony.

But I'm also so happy for him. If anyone has ever earned their eternal rest and reward, it is certainly him. He worked so hard for his entire life, and he is an example not just to every member of the church, but to everyone in the world. He deserves to move on and be with his wife again. And though I'm sure he'll be put to work again, I'm equally sure that he'll go to it with his customary vigor and happiness.

Thank you, President Hinckley. You'll be missed!
