Hi everyone!

It seems we've been really quiet for awhile, but it's good to see that everyone is coming back! I miss you guys.

So I'm just here and fat. Actually, I'm not super-big compared to other pregnant women I see around, but I feel it. I think I'm just about as ready as someone can be to give birth. I see it kind of like getting married: you feel good about it, but you really have no idea what you're getting into, and you can't totally prepare for it. So you just do it and hope for the best.

I thought I'd be bored this fall, but I don't really miss work at all, just the people. Though I did have a vague desire to buy school supplies last month. I've been keeping busy shopping and cleaning. Kids need so much stuff! Dave has been working a lot still, but last week he added up his hours for the past year and figured out that he worked WAY more than everyone else, so he's scaling back a bit. I think he feels like he knows what he's doing now and he's earned the respect of several partners, so now he feels like he can say "no." That, and he figures he doesn't need any new projects when he's going to take a week off when the baby is born and 4 weeks paternity leave in December-January.

Sara--how are things down in Texas? It sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now! I wish I could come down there and take your kids for an afternoon so you could have a nap.
Chiska--So good to hear that Britt keeps improving! I plan to write now that I resigned from my job, too, but I have no idea how this motherhood thing will be. So, it will probably be a while.
Kiersten--What's new with you?
Elisa--Still lobbying?
Emily--How are you? How is Joe liking his program?
