So I was reading the New York Times yesterday, and there was an article on how Utah has become the first state to accept a school choice plan. Congratulations Elisa! Next stop, the DC lobby? :) Glad that you are getting some good news. How is Ryan doing? We've been praying for him.

Kiersten, Jersey City has about as many singles as Athens, Ohio. But I will keep my eyes open. I know some good ones that are left, but they are spread across the country, one in Connecticut, one in San Fransisco...how do you feel about long distance relationships?

Congratulations to Emily as well! I think that I will be ready for baby #2 when I stop getting bad flashbacks about the baby #1 experience. A good friend of mine gave birth a couple of weeks ago, and you're the 3rd friend in a week to tell me you're expecting, and I keep thinking of having my head over the toilet for 2 months. Though the end result is fabulous. Emma just turned 3 months the other day and she has become very social. It's nice to have someone who's always happy to see you, even if you leave her crying on the floor for a few minutes while you finish the laundry or something.

Not too much going on out here, just staying in from the cold. I am taking an online writing class, though, and trying to revise some of my picture book manuscripts from a few years ago. Maybe I'll actually submit something this year!

Thinking about all of you.
Jess
