Kiersten, I wholeheartedly agree with Jess and Emily's advice (I hadn't seen Jess's post before I wrote previously). And I'm glad that Jess brought up the point that there is nothing wrong with quitting. I was actually just thinking the other day that if I were still in law school I would be starting my 3rd year this fall . . . and wow, I've had so many different opportunities and experiences NOT being in school than I would have had if I'd stayed. Once in a while I think how cool it would be if I could tell people I'm an attorney--but wanting the bragging rights is probably the worst reason to stick with something, especially law school! :) So take it from one who's been a "quitter"--there's no sense in sticking with something you don't enjoy, and by quitting you can open yourself up to other (and hopefully better) opportunities that come along. And if you aren't sure whether you really want to quit, take Emily's advice and go on sabatical for a semester to teach/work and think about it. Some more time away might give you the clarity you need to feel good about a decision.
