Things have been quiet on the forum . . . so I thought I'd post and say "WAKE UP! Spring is coming!!" At least I think it is. You couldn't tell by all the snow and rain we've had. But today I was walking down the street in downtown Salt Lake and noticed all the beautiful tulips and daffodils and crocuses in the planter boxes. I love spring flowers. This time of year I like to go to Costco (because flowers are cheap there) and buy a bunch of tulips to put on my table. If I were an authentic "homemaker" I would buy some bulbs in the fall, plant them in a pot and then have my own tulips popping up in the spring. But I'm not that advanced in my homemaking skills so I have to buy the pre-grown variety.

Anyway, what's going on with the rest of you? Ryan and I are thinking about thinking about thinking about buying a house and it's scary. I'm learning all about mortgages and hidden fees and interest rates. I'm also becoming depressed as I look at what we can afford. We need to buy based on Ryan's income alone (since I don't plan to be working full time when we start having kids). One income is a lot less than two. ;) I know I shouldn't complain since Utah's housing market is a lot more reasonable than New York's or DC's (Jess)! I think it's just a difficult process wherever you are. Who knows. Maybe we'll just keep renting for another couple of years.

Hope you're all happy! Enjoy the flowers.
Elisa
