Buying a house! That is so exciting. I'm looking forward to the day when we are in one place long enough to consider buying a house. You should look into HUD housing, it's for first time buyers. The houses are usually in need of major surface repair (new carpet, paint, linoleum, etc.) but nothing major (like, the plumbing is all good, the roof is decent, etc.). I think most HUD homes are homes that people defaulted on their mortage payments, and the bank repos them and sells them through HUD because it is easier for the bank since they have so many. I'm not clear though--you might already know more about it than I do.

Ruby Jane is very sweet. I need to shower. I wish you guys could meet her. If you're ever in town and want to stop by, let me know. She is a pretty mellow baby.

Elisa, I have some lillies on my table (from Costco) and they make the whole house smell delicious. A tip: if you get lillies, snip off all the little pollen thingies--they are messy and can stain your clothes, and snipping them off doesn't hurt the flower at all. A florist told me to do that. ;-)

Happy Spring!
