I didn't find a teaching job, which is a disappointment, but at this time I think what I found is an even better fit.

I got a great job working at the Career Placement Center in the Marriot School of Business. It will be a nice job for several reasons:

1. The office is a very pleasant environment, quiet, friendly, and I will have a lot of freedom to do things my way, because my supervisor will only be in the office on Fridays. (i.e. I can go to the bathroom as I need, eat snacks as I need...etc.)

2. The job is 40 hours a week, and it pays well ($11/hr). Also, the job has an end date of March 30th. That is good because I am due April 1st. This made me feel good about this choice because I won't have to leave them in the middle--and if the pg goes well, I can work right to the end.

3. The job is mostly (as far as I can tell...I haven't started yet) about me scheduling appointments for recruiters to interview business students for internships and post-graduate work. It will deal mostly with accounting firms and accounting students. It is in an office with a series of mini-confrence rooms where the interviews take place. I will also be posting job openings online, and taking care of all the details that entails.

I won't tell them I'm pg for 2 weeks if I can continue to hide it. I think it'll be fine.

I did have 2 offers, the other job was really neat, but it wasn't the right fit at the right time. I'm happy the way things turned out--though I had to drop my English theory class. I feel like this is the perfect fit, a better than expected answer to prayers.

Anyway--just thought I'd share the news.
