I don't agree. :P Like I said in my earlier post, timing only takes 30 minutes to learn for anyone that is computer-savvy. I have taught many people how to time, and none of them took more than 30 minutes. Timing is very simple, if people tell you it takes more than 30 minutes to learn, then either the teacher is a bad teacher, or the student is not computer savvy, or they're just trying to make it look more difficult than it is.
As for translation, you either know enough Japanese *and* English to do good translations, or you don't. There isn't any special training. The only way to improve is to learn more Japanese or goto Japan. That's not training, that's learning the language.
