^^ Yeah, timing doesn't take that long to learn how to do, but I think it takes some practice to become very efficient at it. Although I picked up how to do it pretty quick, I took me twice as long as it should have to finish timing the first thing you had me do. ^O^ Obviously I got a lot better after some practice. :) Of course if you're doing timing all day for a job, it should only take you a couple days to get efficient at doing it, though.

Well, I think that people can benefit from some practice at translation from Japanese to English (of course they can do that by just translating books or manga or whatever as easily as anime). Probably translating anime beforehand would help a TINY bit in that at least they would get in the habit of not making things overly wordy and breaking up lines into pieces so you don't get too much dialog on the screen at one time. But like timing, just doing it a couple times should give you all the experience you need. ^_^ Plus, the editors could fix stuff like that fairly easily if the translator doesn't do it that way already.
