Actually, one of the things that pisses me off the most about Ebay is the fact that anybody and his cousin with a laser printer and a stack of those iron-on shirt blanks we used for the "Anime Smiley" shirts thinks that he is therefore perfectly within his rights to:

1) download a crappy-resolution scan of some anime character (or take someone's laboriously-put-together wallpaper because he found it online and it was better than the crappy-resolution scan)

2) apply said image to iron-on and iron-on to shirt

and

3) sell the things for somewhere in the neighborhood of $25 apiece, calling them "special print process" and "limited edition" and "rare item" and such, and make a completely illegal profit off characters.

The truth is that I have far fewer objections to digital fansubbers, who at least make a point of NOT making a profit, than I do to people who basically photocopy someone else's art onto a T-shirt and then set out TO make a profit off the other person's work... >.<
