Hello fellow JACians. Wow, it's been almost 8 months since I was last in UIUC. I definitely miss it. All the great chinese food, jac, rentertainment, etc. I spent an entire fourth of my life, 6 years, down there. It's hard to believe.
Well, I got married last week. The reception is at the end of the month and will be asian-themed. She'll be in a kimono, and there'll be paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling instead of white garlands, and an asian buffet. And we'll cut the cake with some large sharp kung-fu weapon.
Don't suppose anyone's going to be in Minnesota around then though? Chichiri?
I'll hopefully be back to UIUC to give some tech talk this fall. LrdDimwit, make me copies of all the ChaCha I don't have. 0_0 need more chacha!
We bought a house and will be moving in at the end of august. The first thing on my agenda is cable internet... it's really hard to go back to dial-up after being on the ethernet for so long.
I might wear my Gatts outfit to the Renaissance Festival?
Oh, and I did get my job at Unisys. Working in the second-level cache group for the odyssey processor. I was unemployed for about 5 months before I could finally weasel my way in though.
Well, just thought I'd give you guys a note. Jac pretty much encompasses my whole social life at UIUC. There was also ACM (though many leet unix haxors don't like me), and various engineering friends, and various ISR friends (of course lots of ISR people didn't like me either, and the ones that did all moved out and graduated too soon).
Did Jac++ get someone to replace me as the official coordinator?
How have the break tapes been going?
JMT.
