Yeah, it's too bad. I don't mind that there was an (extremely) edited version, as long as the viewers had the option of watching an unedited dub and sub. But I guess not ...

You would think that Tokyopop learned their lesson years ago when their Mixxzine stuff was coming out. But yeah, I wonder how much money Pioneer lost with the "Cardcaptors" crap ... It would be interesting to know.

Actually, I was kind of surprised that they apparently expected Initial D to be such a hot property that it would be on television. The animation and CG isn't overly good, even if the plot and characters are okay.

Well, I guess we will have to wait and see what happens. Maybe Tokyopop is right and Initial D will be the next big thing. Or maybe it will turn out that all the money they spent on localization will be wasted ...
