Except for Fruits Basket and Abenobashi, I'd have to say this was a pretty lean year. I'd probably rank Hikaru no Go third, but more for its camp value than anything else. Infinite Ryvius tried hard to be "serious," but ultimately there wasn't enough of a payoff to justify the effort required to keep track of all the characters. X, as I said once before, was just eye candy. And while I did actually like Gravitation, I have to admit that the ending was really dumb. I didn't watch Initial D 2nd Stage, SDK, Saiyuki (after the first few episodes), or I, Me, My, Strawberry Eggs.
