Seriously, here's how it's going to work. There is a schedule, and while it is not actually set in stone (i.e. "the room is flooding!" will still cause delays ;), it IS as close to being rock solid as you can get. When you get to Acen, you'll have a table that you'll go to where you'll pick up your badges (which you must be wearing at the con, as people can demand to see them if you want to attend any con event). When you pick up your badge you'll get this nicely printed booklet containing con rules ("no breaking laws" "no pissing off the hotel by doing stupid things like breaking elevators" etc), and you'll also find your schedule.

There are like six different official con events going on all the time, and there are also things like a tabletop RPG room open the whole con.

So if you want to see the AMV contest, you'll just look it up on your schedule, find out which room it's in, and go there.

Usually they show all the AMVs first (grouped by category), and then announce the winners at the end.
