Well regardless if I've heard them or not I will try and listen to everything. The first thing you need for ANY AMV is vision. I can't go into this thing blind, so I gotta listen to a lot of music and (somehow) pull something together in my head and then (somehow) create it in two hours.

Take a look at Hsien's Neverending Story vid for an idea. It's a song < 2 minutes, catchy, easy to edit, etc. It doesn't HAVE to be about robots, but something you could see Robot Action too, etc.

Oh and since I KNOW someone is gonna say "Mr. Roboto," don't. The coordinators IMed me RIGHT before I said it with "and no you can't use Mr. Roboto. It's disqualified."

On a side-note I suggested Tim/Doki use "Big Guns" by AC/DC for his theme at Fanime.

I really wish I could tell you my guesses for the secret ingredient, but I have a feeling I'll just jinx myself. I also almost guarantee one of the following will be an ingredient: 1) Evangelion, 2) a Gundam Show or 3) a Macross Show. I hope that's the case since Hsien two years ago got Tokyo Babylon and was like "huh?" Then again, I do have a few weeks beforehand to watch the source (other than the secret ingredient).

PS: Look for Kyle's first video in the AV contest...it's very representative of him :)
