Using matrix have these advantage:more flexibility, more easy to control of project information, more opportunities for staff development, the disadvanatge are Dual reporting Lack of preceived stability,no unity of command

A balance Matrix is the prefect condition of organization,in this stitution, authority is shared between the functional manager and project manager , The project manager is not the complete master of decisions affecting his project, but operates in a decision-making matrix. However,it is always difficult to maintain, thus, different kind of organization may be used in the same time,in the Secondment Matrix, a project manager have effective control everything but the user is begin influence over the project; in the coordinated martix, the project controller is appointed to coordinated task,he only have a limited authority for ensuring priority is given for resource. Having the responsibility but no authority is an impossible position.

In the project hierarchy, project managers ahve the total right to control, but the user have no influence, and structure is inflexibility, and the operational manager is not involvement.

In the functional hierarchy, Project task is assigned to relevant operational areas, unfortunately, different manager have different views on the proiority of the project, and so one area may be delayed by lack of support from another.

Isolated VS integrated
Isolated have these advantage, the project team can work without distraction and on scrcet of work, However, the user seconded to the team may lost contact with operations, user not seconded may mistrust the project, the opertaional is less willing to release their best perple, and is flexibiltiy.

Integrated have these advantages, To be successful this required the manager's subordinates to be given more place to work on tasks, to be allowed to focus on work on hand without distraction,no environment problem while imposed individual while working on project tasks.
Intermediate position are possible, giving advantage of both models. Individual seconded part time can be given a quiet room, close to their normal place of work, to use while working on the project.

Job rotation- limited success, less boredom, limited applicability now,may be useful muiti-skilling in combination with training

Job enlargement-to increase the scope of the job, aim to provide more variety

Job enrichment-introduce more about authority, responsibility, challenge, opportunities for achievement.
