Historic Buildings

Is the structure of the buildings suitable for rehabiliation?
Is it fulfil the available of physical resources

Before start the work, it should be obtain the planning permission, it should be refer to the Town and Country planning Act 1963

However, it have these tourable to reuse the buiding
-The fire resistance of the building may not satify the current building, Such as, the separate compartment should be have at least 30 minutes of fire resistance period.
-The mean of escpae may be not sufficient, for example, since one place have the fire, it need to excape to the oppositive direction, it can be a hazard if the number of mean of escape is not sufficient.
- If the building want to change to commerical use, these factors may need to consider, it may be not possible to install a lift. The extra socket of electricty may be need(such as,computer and Air-conditionor).
If the building is to re-use to the residential use, additional drainage may be need, since for the rehabiliated for the additional bathroom and toilet.
-The travel distance from the corner of the room to the mean of escape may be not satify the building regulation.
-The design of the building may not friendly to the disable. Such as, the door may be too heavily, the width of the corridor may be to narrow and it is inconvenience to the wheelchair user.
-The colour of the area may be not constrant, it is not good for the sight impaired people or the colour-blindless people.
-The area of the building may be not capacity to provide hearing assistance and no acoustic environment to minimize the sound reflection and reverberation
-The door may be to narrow and cause inconvenience to let the disable people to pass through.
-The additonal lighting to may need to improve the illumination of each step of the staircase, the alteration of handrail of the staircase may be need
-Due to the spacing restriction, damage to the fabric and the visual impact of the building , install permanent ramp may be not available, thus, it may need a portable or temporary ramp and a training staff is need.
-The fire service such as sprlinker, heel hose may be not installed or satisfy to the building regulation.
-There may be need to install other cable/socket for the other facilities such as telephone and internet.
