The soldiers were a bit startled by Simon's sudden appearence, as well as the strange robotic midget which was running around hacking people into salami :-) A pair of flamethrower-equilled troops suddenly whelled around, bathing the war golem in orange flame frmtheir weapons, as another drew his sword and rushed Simon...

Meanwhile...

The first of the armed Vertols began their rollout, massive engines blasting downward lifitng them into the air as they prepared to hit the "suspect areas"...
