*Ahem* "Well," Lucca said, a litle startled by Natsume's outburst and trying to get between her and Kage. For his part, Tseng looked a bit amused....
Just then the door opened. "Sorry to interrupt," said Ness, Tseng's senior Operator, "but we've found her..."
Ness led the whole group to CIC (short for Command, Information and Control, for those of you who're new ;-). The room was like an ampitheater, with rows and rows of computers, contol panels and desks, sloping down towards a well-lit "Projector Stage" in the center of the room. Three rows od stairs led down to this Stage.
"The team whe had sent," Ness explained, "had gone to an alternate dimensional version of Earth...specifically, to New Orleans, Louisiana, circa 1996, where they got into a pitched battle.: He brought up several images from the battle. "Afterward, several Troubleshooters from this team were unaccounted for...including this one, named Paige Ashley-Williams." A image of a young woman, blonde with blue eyes, a slim build, and wearing huge glasses appeared on the screen.
"She is a pyschic, with several powerful--and unfortunately uncontrollable--abilities," Lucca added. "She played an important role in tracking down the young woman and the stolen artifact we had been looking for. Unfortunately, once we split up to continue our search, we lost track of her--till now."
Ten Ness started speaking again "After the battle, several National guard units moved in to secure the city--and apparently captured Ms. Ashley-Williams in the process. We've finally got a fix o her--she was taken to a secluded facility about 150 miles northwest of the city. Your missin will be to recover her, destroy any information they may hav gotten about her ot the Company, and sucessfully retur to HQ. Any questions so far?"
