 Paige whipped her thin body around, trying to get away, until she had heard what the one woman told her about the Agency.
"What?" She looked up at the woman who had spoken to her, cerulean eyes round with fright. Her glasses had slipped askew and were now resting on her cheek, and her clothes were torn and battered, revealing the pale and bruised skin underneath.
"The...the...AniDimensional?..you're not here to...to kill me?"
She gulped back tears, her wide eyes bright set in such a pale face. She seemed about to say something more, but her throat wouldn't work. Sleep was calling. She merely nodded and murmured something, her eyes slowly falling. Something wasn't right about the paleness of her skin, an underlying gray tinge that told the ones around her that she wasn't only tired, but she had used too much of her power, that she had tapped into her life-force somewhat and was close to slipping into a coma. She gave one last sigh, and was gone into the velvety darkness.
