Subject: A great horse is one that puts the onus of winning soley on the jockey and not the horse...(inside)

In terms of rating a horse, total purse, G1 victories, and winning percentage mean little. Anyone with average talent can create an undefeated, 16 G1, 1st Gen horse if running only against CPUs. And total money is just a rank of your patience...racing only Japan Cups. Times are an ok indicator of how good your horse is, but jockey skill is more important. A good jockey can set very good times with a 1st gen horse but to set Nat'l level times he needs deep gens, the right track conditions, the right horse for the course, and if he is a LS he needs a good rabbit to chase.

PS - that DelMar female is past her prime. Things start going down hill for DOCWE horses after the early 30s.
PPS - there are many horses with well over 100 million in earnings...i think the record is around 133M!
