I really think that you are an expert already, when you have a 22 with 17 won and 4Gs.

The best to increase generation is to breed 2 player's horses to get the next generation. But I am not sure what is the sire or dam of this horse. If it's a dirt horse, you might want to breed back to CPU to increase dirt ability.

The distance that you race your current horse really depends on the sire and dam. Pls post the sire and dam of the horse, so me or some expert might be able to help you.
