"A Little bit smug."

moi? ;-)

"the changes are drastic, and the more traditional adherents DO feel this is so.Doing away with mahamudra and kechari are NOT slight changes.

I received Kriya through a Yogananda lineage. I do both mahamudra and kechari. Getting rid of both would indeed be drastic. But Yoganandaji most certainly did not get rid of mahamudra and kechari mudra.

"Initiating literally hundreds of people at a time without knowing a single one of them IS a drastic change in the tradition,Yogananda did all of these things."

I can only speak from my own experience of receiving initiation from a Yogananda teacher in a group of about thirty. I know the person who initiated me very well. He interviewed me before initiation.

"But I was not questioning Yogananda's attainment I made that clear."

Well, if Yogananda had high attainment, then he had the right to make some minor modifications- though he most surely did not make the major changes you made up.

"I am so sorry to upset you but SRF is not very popular with the Lahiri lineage"

This doesn't upset me, because, well, SRF is not very popular with alot of lineages! What else is new? But SRF is not Yogananda. Yogananda is much bigger than the organization he founded. I'm guessing that there are more practicing Yogananda Kriya Yogis outside of SRF then inside SRF.

It's hard to be upset about such comments when the fruits of Kriya Yoga practice are so obvious. Even if it is a lesser, changed, frowned upon, unpopular form of Kriya Yoga ;-)
