I think a lot of the negative feelings directed at Kriyananda have their origin in his providing more or less of an alternative to SRF. Those who raise their voice against him are too often outspoken supporters of SRF.

To me the issue is the how and why of the SRF-Ananda trouble rather than what blunders Kriyananda may have committed in his personal life. Does he claim to have a spotless character?

I do not know Kriyananda personally, but he does not make an 'evil' impression at all. He started his own organization, and power corrupts. Few in his position and with his charismatic temperament would be able to withstand the temptations he may have succumbed to. A number of acts of altogether medium-sized moral misconduct does not make him a devil. He is ambitious, no doubt, but he may be a well-meaning person nevertheless, and a valuable teacher and preserver of the Yogananda Kriya tradition.
