"since the spelling without the middle a was in use during the years this edition was in circulation."

But notice that it does not say that no other spelling was ever in use. It is not in dispute that Yogananda usually signed his title without the middle letter A. The question is whether he ever (even once) signed his name with the additional letter, so that SRF would have a genuine signature to use. I have pointed out earlier that an example from a non-SRF source seems to exist in the book "Treasures Against Time."

The real issue is whether or not it is a proven fact that the signature with the A is a forgery or not, or whether it is just internet speculation. If it is not proven, then it should not be constantly repeated as if it were a fact.

I bring it up because you use this particular episode to try and discredit what Thomas, correctly I believe, pointed out about all the revisions SRF has made to Yogananda's writings.

No he did not. He has not pointed out any significant revisions, he just stated that they exist, as if it were a known fact.
