The Kechari Mudra may have certain benefits at a much higher level than ANY of us who use the Discussion Board have touched.But it is just another irrelevant mind game for most of us,it hardly comes naturally to most of us.
The Kriya lineage emphasises persistently that Kriya Yoga is a NATURAL method of self realization,this is emphasised as an a priori of the teaching.If we are honest, those who place such heavy store by Kechari Mudra as an inviolatable prerequisite are suffering from a terminal case of spiritual materialism.Lahiri Baba may have insisted on its use,but in the context of very PRIVATE instruction which NONE of the insistant have experienced (with Lahiri Baba that is).Yukteswar ,himself almost perpetually using Kechari was quite happy to allow his most illustrious son,Yogananda instruct his disciples without Kechari as an indespensible part of Kriya.
