And then you only gave part of my quote. You left out the most important part that dealth with expansion of consciousness and union with the Self which is the acid test for spiritual practices whose purpose is yoga with the Self.

I do not for a minute think that the performance of kechari mudra alone is equated with spiritual advancement. I do believe the kriya yoga masters of the Lahiri lineage who tell us that in order to perform the higher kriya correctly, you must perform them with kechari mudra.

As I mentioned earlier, kechari mudra is like wood. When it is combined with the higher kriyas, it is like fire and wood coming together. The synergy of the two create something very effective for expanding ones consciousness.
