Dear Niraji,

Paul Brunton does mention meeting Yogi Ramiah in his book "A Search for Secret India". This book was quite a sensation in the west during the 30’s .He is a different person from the Marshall Govindam fame.

I have read in a book by David Godman, that Yogi Ramiah, during his initial years with Bhagavan would actually practice Hatha yoga instead of any atma vichara techniques. Sri Ramana actually ignored this situation, saying that he should begin with the sadhana only when he feels the inner longing.
