Subject: Cool fact in "Starlog" Nathan Fillion interview (no spoilers whatsoever):

(The interview is well worth reading for any number of reastons, btw, so either buy the issue or buy a cup of coffee at your local bookstore and peruse it.)

Fillion says that Jewel Staite is required *by contract* to not get skinny. She *has* to keep weight on because TPTB-Firefly don't want Kaylee to be a waif. Fillion says she has to keep eating to comply, since she's naturally a rather tiny person. Combine that with Gina Torres' athletic frame and Morena Baccarin's curves, and you've got a show that celebrates healthy female bodies. Way to go, Joss!
