I think Firefly finally hit the mark completely tonight,both in storytelling and character development.

I cannot imagine why anyone would question Inara having a female customer.....esp after an episode like "Our Mrs. Reynolds" where Inara made it very clear that she does not limit her sexual preferences to males alone. Or was I just imagining the flirtation between Saffron and Inara??

Aside from making a fool of myself by laughing helplessly through the first torture scene with both Mal and Wash (She doesn't obey *all* my commands!"), I must admit this is the first episode that had me thinking ahead and hoping that the show does find a time slot sooner than later. Of course it was a bit much to have Niska get away because damnit,you know he will be back to cause more problems in the future, but overall the pacing was very good and the dialogue was excellent-snappy,fast and in some cases very thoughtful.
