How sad that the news of the cancellation comes as Firefly has its best episode yet. Jubal Early was such a great character-- I loved that whole bit about the lion-- he owned that episode from beginning to end.

It struck me as an episode very much about context. The objects in space (negative space seems to come up a lot for Joss), the empty rooms, River hearing people's thoughts from different times/conversations, the harmless stick in her hand turning out to be a gun once the others see it. Just so wonderful.
