I loved Jayne in this episode. He didn't get to do much, but offering to chip in to buy Zoe a slinky dress was too funny.

In fact, that sequence in the town was my favorite moment. All the characters were completely there and consistent (I have some problems with Mal later in the story). They were funny, but not stand-up comedian funny. And Mal chewed his boots a little. Gotta love Zoe's "see ya later, captain."

Yes, there were flaws. I agree with most of what Darby noticed, the flaws just didn't bother me as much. Cows in space are little hard to swallow (ouch! horns!), but hopefully they will explain that next week. Only thing I can come up with is prime breeding stock, destined to a buyer who cannot do the surrogate mother thing--maybe doesn't have ANY cattle yet.
