That'll itch Jayne's rudimentary conscience good and proper. Mal knows the truth, Zoe will probably guess it (especially after she finds Jayne stuck in the airlock, which I'd assume will be the case), and River definitely has ideas. Simon, however, is going to be extra nice to Jayne now--well, at least until he finds out the truth, which is likely to happen sooner or later--and it's gonna be fun to watch Jayne deal with that.

Your thoughts on the Blue Hands' cleanup crew are similar to mine. They'll have the whole incident hushed up before anybody sees a single drop of blood.
