Paris Peace COnference
-Wilson welcomed in Europe
-leaders in conference were of victoriouss Allied nations: llyod George/Britian, CLemencuea/France,Vittrio Orlando/Italy
-Wilson put troops in Soviet Union to help the anti-bolsheviks
-Wilson wanted free trade for the seas but was not accepted
*Reparaations
-at 1st WIlson opposed compensation but then accpeted a little later
-in 1912 the losers of the war were suppose to pay 56 billion to civillions & to millitary
-Germany only paid 9 billion
-Allied powers belived Germans should not be allowed to become powerful enough to threaten the peace of Europe
-colonies/imperial possession put in "trusteeship" under the league of nations
-wilson blocked the break up of Germany
-wilson helped design the creation od Yugoslavia & Czechoslovakia
-covenant provided an assembly of antions that would meet regularly to debat means of protecting peace
-u.s one of the 5 pernament members of council w/ Britian/ France/Italy/Japan
-a question was left of how the league would enforce its decisions
