Subject: THe 14th Amendment

14th Amendment
-everyone born in the U.S. and everyone naturalized automaticly a ctitizen
-granted equal protection of laws by both state and national governments
-not allow former members of congress and other officals that helped the COnfederacy to hold office unless 2/3 of Congress voted to pardon them
-Tennessee,former Confederate states including:Delaware and Kentucky refused the 14 amendment
- were riots in the south against the African AMericans
