Subject: Wages and Working Conditions

the annual wage was far below normal or even below normal living standards

hard times for the company could mean no pay no work or even smaller pay, if it was possible

the new tasks of the assembly line type work was new and differant to many of the workers

because work was not specialized, more people could do the job for less than a professional would work for

this extended the work day and minimized the pay

conditions were unsafe and many more accidents occured to the workers in the factories

loss of control occured in the factories so the workers had no rights in their work environment
