It can sometimes be very hard to judge such youngstock for riding purposes when they are still markedly growing. I have noticed a lot of comments to the effect of the horses being croup high.

The horse that catches my eye for riding would be in the second picture the dark bay/brown filly. She has a good length of neck and a nice strong back. It is a pity she isn't standing square but from the picture it seems she has a good shoulder and nice straight legs.
