Annoyingly, yes. I have often wondered why my Dad, an ardent unionist, would name me after a rebel. My Dad has a fondness for military personalities of history. Then again, though I know fairly little about my namesake, I do know that he was eventualy defeated. Being named after a great Welshmen is good I suppose, but rather one that did not fight against his fellow occupants of this island even if in his time its unity was far off in the horizon. It is quite an innapropiate name for me, though I quite like it.
