If we have symbols for specific bits of the FC we are somehow tying our new federated identity to an amalgam of existing identities. It also means that if we welcome, for example, Barbados and St. Lucia into the federation, we would have to squeeze in symbols for them too.

I want something unifying: something sharp, elegant and reminiscent of familiar flags without actually containing existing symbols. Something in the traditional colours we are all fond of and that would look great on a t-shirt. Something easy enough for children to draw in their schoolbooks without being reduced to mere geometry.
