Beginner: 'The Amateur Magician's Handbook' or 'Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic'
Intermediate: 'Tarbell Course in Magic'(esp. volume 1) or 'The Magic of Michael Ammar'
Specialized:
Sleight of Hand- 'Now You See It Now You Don't' then read 'The Second Now You See It Now You Don't'
Coin Magic- 'Modern Coin Magic'
Card Magic- 'Royal Road to Card Magic' then go to 'Expert Card Technique', and finally read 'Encyclopedia of Card Tricks'
Mentalism- 'Anneman for the 90's' then to '13 Steps to Mentalism' (Derren Brown's books are getting extremely hot so check them out after reading these.)
