First off it's Castle Urquhart and not the way the English would have it! Ask Jim Grant!:O)

I would think you would need to set out guy early for Eilan Dunan, it's very nearly Skye! It may look fairly close to Glasgow but believe me it's not.
I'll easy find out travelling times and trains etc if you wish - no problem.

Castle Urquhart would probably be easier! Train straight from Glasgow to Inverness, then a bus or taxi to the Castle.
It's a busy place mind. Tourists from all over descend on the place.
To enter the Castle there's an entry fee. However, of it's mainly view you're after then the car park gives excellent views of the bay and up and down the Loch.

......and DON'T pay the piper either! He's rotten!!!!!
