Yeah!

This was a good weekend. Especially watching the grade iv band (I think it was Seven Pipers) as the skies opened up on Sunday. I really missed playing, but I learned A LOT listening to the grade iv contests. There is a big difference between grade iv and grade iii.

Chris was right on the money with his email posting. Mesa's tone was by far better than any other grade iii band. I heard them all from the comfort of the "beer garden". Most of the playing (unison and ensemble) was superior, too. You also looked very good. Mesa is about the only band that lifts its feet during the mark-time. Just watch leaving gaps in the circle!

I am looking forward to May when I can start playing with youse guys again!

Mike

By the way, a BIG thanks for all the support and encouragement for the grade iv band! We are really looking forward to our debut on Sunday!
